Resilient Health Systems for Africa: Re-envisioning the Future Now

The past three years have proven that we need to be better prepared for the next health threat. Inevitably, the global challenges of the next decade – climate change, conflict, and food insecurity – will have a ripple effect on the continent’s health and change our lives in unimaginable ways. If we are to face these formidable challenges, we require the brightest minds to challenge the status quo and bolster preparedness by birthing a new set of initiatives and institutions. Countries and multilateral institutions cannot afford to continue with a business-as-usual approach but instead must come together to bridge the gap between the global north and south and foster a relationship of equity, solidarity, and trust.

In this edition of the Africa Health Agenda International Conference (AHAIC), we will be tackling each of these challenges and discussing ways in which countries can adapt their health systems for what is to come. We will be bringing together a diverse set of global leaders to debate the difficult questions in a wave of forward-thinking discussions, side events, and hallmark gatherings.
