Wairimu has an MA in International Relations from University of Nottingham, UK, and a BSc in International Business from Messiah College, PA, USA. Her professional background is in project management and has assisted and coordinated various projects over the years; she has also had some experience in communications from various roles.
Wairimu is currently working as a fund officer for the Innovate for Life Fund, which supports African entrepreneurs in the development of innovative, sustainable and scalable solutions for a healthy Africa. And has had a similar role and experience at Enablis, a non-profit organization that supports SME entrepreneurs in developing countries in order to reduce poverty through job creation. She was also previously at Amref working for a project called the Africa Health, Leadership, and Management Network, which aided senior health practitioners in the areas of leadership, management, and governance.
