Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is the current priority of the Global Health Community. In Africa, many countries are taking action by scaling up their public investment in health and have developed policies that facilitate the achievement of UHC.
However, the attainment of UHC is a challenging and ongoing endeavor for most countries and hence strong leadership by health leaders and managers is crucial in its attainment. Amref Health Africa, Institute of Capacity Development has developed a UHC course for health leaders and managers to address the skills and knowledge gap and facilitate implementation of UHC that is cost effective, sustainable and of the highest quality.
